József Balogh
Clarinetist
Clarinetist, teacher and composer. Jozsef Balogh is founder of the Interclarinet, Judrom, Clarsix ensembles. He graduated at Budapest’s Liszt Music Academy and then won music several competitions. He was solo clarinetist at the Hungarian Opera and the Hungarian Radio Symphonic Orchestra. He won a Sir Georg Solti scholarship to work with the Chicago Symphonycs. He has performed, lectured and led workshops worldwide. A key person at the Europa Music School, Beethoven Program for hearing impaired youngsters, He is recipient of the Bartók-Pásztory Award, and in 2009, the Hungarian Republic’s Golden Cross of Distinction.
